The Acer Timeline 4810T is a solid system that offers exceptional battery life, portability and modest performance at a competitive price. As the name suggests, its key selling feature is the long battery life and it certainly delivers there. Currently retailing for $550*, we were satisfied with the Timeline's overall design and build quality. Ideally we could have used either a bit more processing power or a better quality screen, but for the price we have to admit what you get is more than adequate. With 4GB of RAM the Timeline is a happy multi-tasker also.

The Aspire Timeline 4810T-353G32Mn is the newest addition to Acer’s notebook arsenal and is designed to provide long battery life as well as cool and comfortable usage. On the battery life front the machine proved itself a star; using the Acer PowerSmart Manager the notebook remained alive and kicking for slightly over six hours. A highly portable notebook that’s great to work with over long periods of time. It’s only held back by a lack of processing power.

This ultraportable Acer notebook should offer more than enough power, as long as you aren't planning to play recent games or edit videos, and it has an excellent collection of features (including 802.11n Wi-Fi). If you've been tempted by netbooks but find the performance and form-factor too inflexible, Intel's CULV (consumer ultra-low voltage) platform is the perfect tonic. Indeed, this equally applies to current netbooks owners, who might find CULV machines and AMD's competing Athlon Neo platform the ideal upgrade paths to something that has similar levels of portability, but with more capability. While performance suffers in comparison to the dual-core version and HD video is still challenging, this version of the 4810T still comes recommended. For the price it offers a tempting array of features, a portable and great to use chassis, and battery life that makes it perfect for mobile people on a tight budget.

Priced at a much more affordable £750 or so, it also boasts amazing battery life. The Acer Timeline Aspire 4810T may not be the fastest performer or the best-looking laptop we've seen, but its compact dimensions, relatively low price tag and amazing battery life make it an outstanding buy for those seeking a laptop that's well suited to life on the move.

  The new series of Acer Timeline laptops offers an enormous battery life; up to eight hours, which sounds likes a very bold claim. The new Aspire Timeline family offers eight hours of battery life which is deeply impressive. Added to that the 14.1-inch 4810T model weighs in at a mere 2kg which makes it highly portable and, while the price is high, it represents decent value for money.

Acer's Timeline laptop has excellent mobility on offer, although slightly blighted by an unusual keyboard. If you're in the market for a semi-portable business machine, then the Timeline 4810T is worth a look. Its robust build quality and functional design may be practical rather than desirable, but the tremendous all-day battery makes it a good choice for the mobile worker.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: GM45 çipsetine (Montevina) kurulmuş, onboard (paylaşımlı) grafik kartı. 2 adet daha fazla shadera sahip olması ve daha yüksek saat hızından ötürü GMA X3100 den oldukça hızlı. Yinede oyuncular için (DirectX 10 oyunları oynanamaz, oynansa bile çok düşük detaylarda) önerilebilir olduğu söylenemez. Dahili video işlemcisi, düşük hızlı işlemcilere HD video decode (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2) işlemleri sırasında yardımcı olarak Blu-Ray medyaların akıcı şekilde oynatılmasını sağlıyor.

Çok seçici olmayan oyunlar akıcı olarak oynanabilir. Ama düşük çözünürlüğe ve dolayısıyla düşük detaylara hazır olun. Yine de bu kartlar ofis ve video görüntüleme (HD Videolar içinde uygun olduğu söylenebilir) konularında yeterli performansı veriyor.
