EN→TRAcer's Aspire AS5740-5513 is a solid value for those looking for a good performing budget laptop that won't require 3D graphics. The Core i3 processor and 4GB of DDR3 memory allow it to tackle applications previous generations of budget systems could only dream of. Many of the other features are pretty standard for the price but the system does trail a bit in battery life and has too many trialware applications.
