Dell's Inspiron brand has been around for ages and has seen plenty of transformations in its time. These days it represents Dell's entry-level, value range, which is why its netbooks go by the title Inspiron Mini. This is a good desktop replacement laptop which, however you configure it, offers excellent value for money and performance. It's got a simple, stylish chassis too, but it's let down by a slightly iffy keyboard and a noisy cooling fan.

To be fair, we should say that there are some notebooks on the market now which outperform Inspiron 17 (5749) in every aspect, by far. Dell’s new multimedia station looks sturdy, reliable and even appealing, somehow though, today that’s not enough. We want thin and strong construction, high performance and attractive design. Yes, in one product. On the bright side, Inspiron 17 (5749) is robust, has a long 36 months warranty (conditions may vary in different countries) and has a spill-resistant keyboard. The problem is that it weighs more than 3.2 kg, it isn’t very upgradable (especially for a 17-incher), has a TN screen with PWM across all brightness levels, has a mediocre battery life and is equipped with not less than adequate CPU and GPU.

In the hardware department, the CPU fits the pricing as well as the TN panel, which, by the way, performed really well again (except for the use of PWM), because most 17-inchers tend to be on the more expensive side, but we cannot say the same about the GPU. Last year’s 5758 was better off with the NVIDIA GeForce 920M since the Radeon R5 M335 in the new model doesn’t quite cut it. Again, if you are looking for a 17-inch device, the Dell Inspiron 5759 is okay, but there are far better 15-inch options with more to offer or you can also take a look at the Pavilion 17, Aspire E5-773G or the HP ProBook 470 G3, which all have a tad better performance/price ratio. Also, we’ve noticed some oddly high temperatures under heavy workload, which weren’t present in the previous version and this may be due to the GPU. And finally, the battery life is little better because of the 6th generation CPU but hardly noticeable.

Still, if you are not invested in the 2-in-1 form factor, the significantly less expensive but still capable Acer Aspire 5 (A517-51G) is a good way to start. And for just about the same price, you can get a decent gaming laptop with GTX 1050 Ti or even GTX 1060 on board. Only, of course, if you are looking for a more powerful alternative.

Texas merkezli şirket dünya genelinde 82700 kişiye iş imkanı sunmakta. 2006 yılında şirket Alienware’i satın aldı. Çoğu ülkede laptoplar direk Dell tarafından satılmakta ve farklı konfigrasyon seçenekleri sunulmakta. 2007 yılında (IDC tarafından yapılan araştırmaya göre) ki Pazar payları: HP 18.9 %, Dell 16.4 %, Acer 9.9 %, Lenovo 7.5 %, Apple 5.7 %
Sadece eski oyunlar bu grafik kartları ile akıcı bir şekilde (eğer yüksek bir sistem gereksinimi duymuyorlarsa) oynanabilir.
