Good all-around performance can’t save this pricey touchscreen gaming rig from shoddy design. Despite putting up solid performance numbers, the $1,249 iBuyPower Battalion Touch CZ-10’s blood-letting design should’ve been scrapped in the design lab and given an overhaul before release, and we’re relieved that the company is changing the materials used in the logo.

With the Battalion Touch CZ-10, iBuypower presents a novel new idea in gaming notebooks—and, surprisingly, it doesn’t revolve around the touch-capable screen that this laptop features. It's this, instead: Make them portable and affordable. Your average gaming laptop weighs more than 10 pounds and runs more than $2,000. The CZ-10, on the other hand, weighs just over 6 pounds and starts at a buck under a grand. This winner of a gaming notebook features a multi-touch screen, surprisingly low pricing, and a truly portable design.

The Battalion 101 CZ-10 Premium from iBUYPOWER is designed to be a modest mobile gaming platform for the gamer on the go that doesn't want to spend too much. In order to achieve this goal, the laptop makes a few sacrifices in terms of battery life and peripheral ports but it does provide a very solid level of performance for its $1250 price tag. The price tag is a bit of an issue since similar laptops can be found for slightly less but iBUYPOWER offers a wide range of customizations to adjust the price of the unit.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650:

Mobility HD 4650 masaüstü 4650 mimarisi üzerine kurulmuş olsada daha düşük çekirdek ve bellek hızlarına sahiptir. Saat hızı (450-550 MHz mümkün) ve kullanılan bellek türüne gore (DDR2, DDR3, GDDR3 ile 600-800 MHz mümkün) mobil 4650 farklı performanslar sunabilir. Güç tüketimi 15-25W arasında değişmekte ve Avivo HD video özelliklerine sahip.

1. sınıf masa üstü kartları ile kıyaslanabilir performansa sahip laptop kartları. Yeni oyunlar biraz düşük detaylarda akıcı şekilde oynanabilir.

Intel Core 2 Duo: Daha fazla tüketime ihtiyaç duymayan ve daha uzun aktarım hatlarına sahip Core Duo ve Core Solo işlemcilerin yeni nesli. Core Duo dizanynına ek olarak 4. bir decoder, güçlendirilmiş SSE unitesi ve ek Aritmetik mantık ünitesi ( ALU ) mevcut.

Core 2 Duo Laptop işlemcileri masa üstü işlemcilerle benzer. Sadece daha düşük voltaj ile çalışmakta (0.95 Volt - 1188 Volt) ve daha düşük frontside bus saat hızına sahip (1066 MHz karşı 667 MHz).
