Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 serisi yerini Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 serisine bırakıyor. Görünüm ve boyut yönünden fazla değişiklik yok ve yüksek kalite standardı korunuyor. En büyük değişiklikler elbette 2560x1600 piksel çözünürlüğe sahip WQXGA ekran ve daha güçlü işletim çipi. Şaşırtıcı şekilde Samsung iki işlemci versiyonu sunuyor. Biri iyi bilindik Snapdragon 800 quad-core iken diğeri Samsung'un kendi işlemcisi olan Exynos 5420 octa-core işlemci. Exynos modelinin kötü yanları LTE modülüne sahip olmayışı ve QFHD videolar oynatamaması.

Temelde iki modelde fazla fark bulunmamakta. Batarya kullanım süreleri ve yüksek performans her iki model içinde üst seviyelerde. Ancan genel olara Qualcomm sistem çipli model batarya kullanımı ve performans yönünden biraz daha iyi ve LTE modülüne de sahip, ancak daha pahalı.
