If I were to spend almost a lakh on a gaming laptop, I would definitely get this one by paying 10 percent extra, mainly for the looks and performance. Also, the 3D gaming on this machine is way better on this one.

The lower screen resolution meant the Asus ROG G53JW-IX162V sailed through next generation 3D games. We'd love to see what this could do in 3D on a full HD screen because it romped in with over 40FPS on Call of Duty: Black Ops at 1366 x 768. We even got 52FPS with everything maxxed on 2D. Shame about the average 112 minutes battery life.

I have to give it to ASUS; the G53SW made a great first impression and continued to exceed my expectations on pretty much every front. Yes, the 1366×768 resolution is disappointing, but the 120Hz screen and impressive performance by the GTX 460m at full to high settings is equally impressive. All components inside are topnotch (especially the Sandy Bridge i7-2630QM) and the overall performance of the notebook is exceptional compared to other notebooks in a similar price range.

The $1,449 ASUS G53SW-A1 offers a great combination of blazing-fast graphics, a gorgeous display, and rich audio. Our biggest issue is the keyboard, which not only has an undersized number bad but exhibits a lot of flex. You also have to think about the weight: 8.2 pounds is a lot to carry for a 15.6-inch notebook, especially when the 17-inch version of this ASUS laptop (the G73SW-A1) weighs just about half a pound more. Consumers looking for something more portable in this price range should check out the $1,399 Alienware M14x. And if you're looking for something a little more flashy, the MSI GT680R-008US offers nearly the same specs but flashier customizable lights for $1,449. But those who prefer the minimalist aesthetic of the ASUS G53SW will find a lot to like under the hood.

Our biggest issue is the keyboard, which not only has an undersized number bad but exhibits a lot of flex. You also have to think about the weight: 8.2 pounds is a lot to carry for a 15.6-inch notebook, especially when the 17-inch version of this ASUS laptop (the G73SW-A1) weighs just about half a pound more. Consumers looking for something more portable in this price range should check out the $1,399 Alienware M14x. And if you're looking for something a little more flashy, the MSI GT680R-008US offers nearly the same specs but flashier customizable lights for $1,449. But those who prefer the minimalist aesthetic of the ASUS G53SW will find a lot to like under the hood.

Oyun oynamak isteyen kullanıcılar için en son seçenek. Yeni oyunlar bu kartlarda çalışacaktır, ama sadece düşük detaylar ve orta çözünürlükte.
