The world's most lightweight 14-inch notebook. That is at least according to Asus, since the company advertises their latest 1.05 kg (2.31 lbs) heavy and 15 mm (0.59 inches) USB-C only office notebook as such. Our extensive review is going to reveal whether or not the restrictions necessary to achieve this feat are worth it, and how the B9400UA fared in its role as a highly mobile office notebook.

However, there's no webcam or touchscreen, limited on-board connectivity and the power switch is in arguably the most annoying possible location.

The 7200U is a very capable CPU that doesn’t miss on much compared to the 7500U, its more expensive sibling – the only differences are a marginally lower base and turbo clock frequency and 25% less cache. Note that Asus bundled a 3-year international warranty with the B9440UA and it comes with Windows 10 Pro by default, two significant USPs in our view. Sound is handled by Harman Kardon speakers and is surprisingly bassy given the layout of the laptop.

If the screen is really important to you, go for the Dell XPS 13 (starting at $799), whose panel is brighter and more accurate. The webcam is in an awkward spot, but at least you'll have one. And although it's thicker, you'll get a full set of ports.
