The V30S is a good smartphone. It compares well to other flagship Android devices in pretty much all respects. Its only real downsides is that it's a flagship which is not using the latest chipset and the fact that the selfie camera image quality is nowhere near flagship territory.

Last year’s LG V30 was a surprisingly strong device from a company that has trouble selling smartphones. Rather than just wait to launch a new G-series flagship, though, LG decided to build this — the V30S ThinQ. Here’s the rub: the hardware differences are nearly negligible, and the AI image recognition features that define the V30S ThinQ are being made available to the original V30 as well. Ultimately, there’s nothing outright wrong with the V30S ThinQ; it’s just wholly unnecessary.

Qualcomm Adreno 540:
Qualcoom Snapdragon 835 sistem çipinde bulunan dahili grafik kartı. Adreno 530 modeline kıyasla yeni 10nm sürecinden ötürü daha yüksek saat hızına sahip ve mimarisi biraz daha iyileştirilmiş. 2017 başı için Android tabanlı cihazlarda kullanılan en hızlı grafik kartlarından biri.
Çok seçici olmayan oyunlar akıcı olarak oynanabilir. Ama düşük çözünürlüğe ve dolayısıyla düşük detaylara hazır olun. Yine de bu kartlar ofis ve video görüntüleme (HD Videolar içinde uygun olduğu söylenebilir) konularında yeterli performansı veriyor.

SD 835:
2017 başlarında duyurulan üst sınıf akıllı telefonlar için 10nm LPE FinFET süreci ile Samsung tarafından üretilen sistem çipi. 4 adet Kryo 280 işlemci 2.45 GHz hıza çıkmakta ve diğer 4 adedi de 1.9 GHz hıza ulaşmakta. Ek olarak X16 LTE modem, ac-WiFi ve çift kanallı 32-Bit 1866 MHz LPDDR4x bellek kontrolörü ile gelmekte.
