With the Slim 3 Chromebook, Lenovo threw all of those to the side and just released a no-nonsense option that has a few hidden tricks. Instead of worrying about RGB or displays with fast refresh rates, the Slim 3 Chromebook is one of those devices that "just works."

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is a perfectly serviceable Chromebook. Although it’s not the most innovative laptop I’ve ever worked with, it’s still a good value buy, especially if you’re a student or young professional. It has enough power for light use and the battery will keep you going long after your workday ends. The inclusion of a 1080p touch display is a nice feature to have on a sub-$400 laptop. Performance could be a touch snappier, but that’s just my own personal nitpick. You’ll need to taper your expectations some, especially as this machine has only 4GB of RAM. If you need an inexpensive everyday machine, then the IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook is worth your hard-earned cash.

Of course, with a budget Chromebook, some limitations are inevitable. The Slim 3 only comes with 4GB of RAM, and while the Kompanio 520 chip is a step up from its predecessor (the Kompanio 500 found in the original Chromebook Duet), you’ll start noticing lags if you’re pushing it too hard. If you keep your tasks limited and try to stick to one or two things at a time, it offers a nice, smooth experience. The big benefit is battery life, which looks to easily pace at the 13-hour mark Lenovo touts for this device. These types of caveats are fine in a $319 Chromebook, they are not even worrisome on a device that continues to be on sale for $169. At that sort of price, the Slim 3 is an absolute steal. If by the time you are reading this post you see it elevated back to the full MSRP and you are ready to get one, I’d tell you to hold off if possible: the track record on this one makes me think it will be on sale a lot.

Çok seçici olmayan oyunlar akıcı olarak oynanabilir. Ama düşük çözünürlüğe ve dolayısıyla düşük detaylara hazır olun. Yine de bu kartlar ofis ve video görüntüleme (HD Videolar içinde uygun olduğu söylenebilir) konularında yeterli performansı veriyor.
