If we take design and “make-up” aside, we get notebook that has great performances. Toshiba Qosmio F50 can satisfy appetites of most gamers. If display was a little bit better it could easily receive one of our awards. If few hundred euros that will remain in your pocket are enough compensation for average display and you plan to play games from time to time, then Toshiba Qosmio F50 is your notebook.

While the Quad Core HD processor works well when upscaling DVDs, the gesture-control feature is next to useless. That said, the Qosmio F50-10Z is reasonably priced at £899, it has plenty of features and, as long as the over-the-top chassis doesn't put you off, it serves well as a mid-range, entertainment-focused laptop.

Qosmio laptops have always represented the gregarious, outgoing end of Toshiba's extensive range of notebooks, and the F50-10Z is no exception. The Qosmio logo is liberally splashed across the rear of the lid, and the keyboard is surrounded by white LED icons and a chrome border. The Quad Core HD is an out of place innovation, but the rest of this Qosmio impresses

NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT: 8600M GT’nin yeni serisi ve 65nm lik üretim sayesinde kart aynı tüketim oranları ile daha yüksek saat hızına sahip ( tabi ki daha hızlıda). Dahası geliştirilmiş video işlemcisine (VP3) ve enerji tasarrufu için (9100M G ile kullanıldığında) HybridPower desteğine sahip.

Çok seçici olmayan oyunlar akıcı olarak oynanabilir. Ama düşük çözünürlüğe ve dolayısıyla düşük detaylara hazır olun. Yine de bu kartlar ofis ve video görüntüleme (HD Videolar içinde uygun olduğu söylenebilir) konularında yeterli performansı veriyor.

Intel Core 2 Duo: Daha fazla tüketime ihtiyaç duymayan ve daha uzun aktarım hatlarına sahip Core Duo ve Core Solo işlemcilerin yeni nesli. Core Duo dizanynına ek olarak 4. bir decoder, güçlendirilmiş SSE unitesi ve ek Aritmetik mantık ünitesi ( ALU ) mevcut.

Core 2 Duo Laptop işlemcileri masa üstü işlemcilerle benzer. Sadece daha düşük voltaj ile çalışmakta (0.95 Volt - 1188 Volt) ve daha düşük frontside bus saat hızına sahip (1066 MHz karşı 667 MHz). Aynı hıza sahip olsalarda laptop Core 2 Duo işlemcileri masa üstü versiyonlarına oranla daha düşük frontside bus ve yavaş hard disklerinden ötürü 20 - 25% daha yavaş.

P8400: 25 Wattlık güç tüketimine sahip orta sınıf işlemci. Oyuncular için performansı yeterli değil.
