The Extensa 15 (EX215-55) could be a good daily driver for budget-conscious users. Even the Core i3-1215U is just okay for work if it’s accompanied by at least 16GB of RAM in dual-channel mode and a decent SSD. Just be careful not to pick a machine with a TN screen. The 1080p TN display (B156HTN06.1 (AUO61ED)) disappoints. Its viewing angles are super narrow, the color coverage is low, the contact ratio is just 370:1, and the out-of-the-box color accuracy is absurd (average dE 9.3). At least you can fix the accuracy with the aid of our “Design and Office” profile. The EX215-33 iteration of Acer Extensa 15 may tempt value-seeking users with a pleasant price, high CPU clocks during long stress, good upgradability, and decent port selection.
