If you are not a hardcore gamer and do not want a core i7 processor in your netbook, this business netbook from Asus is a must buy.

The Asus Eee PC 1018P is a well-designed, slim netbook charging a premium for its brushed aluminum body and some unique features such as a fingerprint reader and USB 3.0 support. But like the Sony VAIO M, it doesn't offer any performance benefits compared to netbooks such as the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 or Lenovo Ideapad S10-3. The Eee PC 1018P has better hardware compared to the Asus Eee PC 1008P but lower battery life, and it's arguable which one is a better looking netbook between the two, in terms of style and design. If you want a slim netbook for a style statement with improved hardware, some unique features but average performance, look forward to the Eee PC 1018P.

As a computer maker, Asus is best known for its Eee PC Netbooks, which were arguably the first and most important minilaptops for the mainstream market. The basic plastic design of the Eee PC hasn't changed much over the past few generations, giving the series a look and feel in line with its entry-level prices, as seen in the rounded plastic bodies of the Eee PC 1001 and 1005 models. Asus reboots the Eee PC series (at least aesthetically) with this slick-looking metallic Netbook, the Eee PC 1018.

For a few months now, netbooks have been undergoing a process of gentrification and are sometimes becoming veritable fashion items. Compact, light and elegant, the Asus Eee PC 1018P is a nice object that you won't be ashamed to take out of your bag in a public place. Its excellent battery life doesn't come at the cost of thickness, which means it is easily transportable.

While the Eee PC 1018P is a very attractive netbok, its small keys, incredibly stiff mouse buttons, and washed out webcam prove that you can't judge a netbook by its cover. Though this machine is certainly usable, competitors offer a better experience for less money. For $355, you can buy a Toshiba NB305, which has a best-in-class keyboard, a large and accurate touchpad, and longer battery life. If you really want to save, get the ASUS Eee PC 1001P for $299. It's not as stylish as the 1018P, but it lasts longer on a charge (8:40) and has a better keyboard.

Indeed, ASUS has done a really nice job in designing the most attractive netbooks on shelves today, and the best part is that you don't have to pay more than $350 (at least at Best Buy) for those premium designs, as the company has been known to do in the past. In the end, both the 1018P and 1015PE are very solid choices, though if you're looking for a netbook that lasts longer on a charge we have to recommend the Toshiba Mini NB305 or the Eee PC 1005PE.

The Asus Eee PC 1018P is very good at being a netbook. It's particularly slim, otherwise small, light and more pleasant to use than some cheaper alternatives thanks to its aluminium clad interior. However, you do pay for such luxuries and with a single-core Atom processor and no HDMI output, it can't handle video nearly as well as some similarly-priced netbooks from other manufacturers.

Bu tür grafik kaetları oyunlar için pek ideal değil. Eğer bir oyunu çalıştıracak olurlarsa ya grafiksel hatalarla ya da düşük frame oranlarıyla çalıştırabilirler. Oyuncular için uygun değiller. Ofis ve internet ise oyunların aksine bu GPU lar için sorun değil.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3150: Dahili (paylaşımlı bellekli) Intel Atom N4xx serisi işlemcilerde kullanılan grafik kartı. Eski GMA 950lere nazaran biraz daha hızlı ve bu yüzden 3D oyunlar veya HD videolar için uygun değil (sadece MPEG2 desteği mevcut)

Intel Atom:

N475: DDR3 bellek kontrolörlü, GMA 3150 grafik kartına sahip gelecek nesil Atom işlemci. İşlemcinin performansı şu anki 1.86 GHz Atom Z450’den biraz daha hızlı olacaktır.
