The Asus Eee 1018p is a netbook that packs every single feature that one would want in a netbook. The Asus 1018p is one slick-looking metallic netbook packing the latest Atom processor, 2GB RAM, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0. If you are not a hardcore gamer and do not want a core i7 processor in your netbook, this business netbook from Asus is a must buy.

The Asus Eee PC 1018P is a well-designed, slim netbook charging a premium for its brushed aluminum body and some unique features such as a fingerprint reader and USB 3.0 support. But like the Sony VAIO M, it doesn't offer any performance benefits compared to netbooks such as the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 or Lenovo Ideapad S10-3. The Eee PC 1018P has better hardware compared to the Asus Eee PC 1008P but lower battery life, and it's arguable which one is a better looking netbook between the two, in terms of style and design. If you want a slim netbook for a style statement with improved hardware, some unique features but average performance, look forward to the Eee PC 1018P.

As a computer maker, Asus is best known for its Eee PC Netbooks, which were arguably the first and most important minilaptops for the mainstream market. The basic plastic design of the Eee PC hasn't changed much over the past few generations, giving the series a look and feel in line with its entry-level prices, as seen in the rounded plastic bodies of the Eee PC 1001 and 1005 models. Asus reboots the Eee PC series (at least aesthetically) with this slick-looking metallic Netbook, the Eee PC 1018.

Yorum

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3150: Dahili (paylaşımlı bellekli) Intel Atom N4xx serisi işlemcilerde kullanılan grafik kartı. Eski GMA 950lere nazaran biraz daha hızlı ve bu yüzden 3D oyunlar veya HD videolar için uygun değil (sadece MPEG2 desteği mevcut)

Bu tür grafik kaetları oyunlar için pek ideal değil. Eğer bir oyunu çalıştıracak olurlarsa ya grafiksel hatalarla ya da düşük frame oranlarıyla çalıştırabilirler. Oyuncular için uygun değiller. Ofis ve internet ise oyunların aksine bu GPU lar için sorun değil.

Intel Atom:

Intel Atom serisi 64-Bit bir işlemci olup UMPC ve MID türü gibi küçük notebooklar için ucuz bir işlemci alternatifidir. Yeni mimarinin özelliği “in order” uygulamasını kullanması. Böylece transistor sayısı azaltılıp, daha ucuz bir üretim mümkün.

N450: GMA 3150 GPU ve dahili bellek kontrolörüne sahip Netbooklar için üretilen Intel Atom serisi işlemci. Sistem performansı Atom N280 / GMA 950 kombinasyonundan sadece biraz daha hızlı.
