EN→TR Archive.org versionEven if the iPad didn’t exist, we wouldn’t recommend the HP TouchSmart tm2. Its touchpad is one of the worst we’ve used. But the fact that Apple’s slate is now available to the masses makes this convertible an even tougher sell. Consumers who know better will no longer tolerate a tablet that doesn’t change screen orientation automatically based on how you’re holding the device, and they’ll scratch their heads wondering why it takes so long for TouchSmart’s apps to load when there’s a Core i3 processor under the hood. And although we give HP credit for trying to build on top of Windows 7, the OS simply can’t compete with the iPad when it comes to touch-enabled apps. We still like the idea of a tablet with a full-size keyboard--and see the merit of stylus-based input for some--but this product disappoints.

EN→TR Archive.org versionThe HP TouchSmart tm2t has a lot to offer and is solidly built. It is a great student laptop in many ways: it offers an easy way to take class notes via the pen input, battery life is very good, the design is attractive and the aluminum construction makes it durable yet not too heavy to be portable. The main drawbacks to the tm2t is that it uses a low voltage processor, so it’s not the fastest PC out there, and some of the software drivers such as the touchpad and touchscreen are buggy and could do with some tweaking out of the box.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: GM45 çipsetine (Montevina) kurulmuş, onboard (paylaşımlı) grafik kartı. 2 adet daha fazla shadera sahip olması ve daha yüksek saat hızından ötürü GMA X3100 den oldukça hızlı. Yinede oyuncular için (DirectX 10 oyunları oynanamaz, oynansa bile çok düşük detaylarda) önerilebilir olduğu söylenemez. Dahili video işlemcisi, düşük hızlı işlemcilere HD video decode (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2) işlemleri sırasında yardımcı olarak Blu-Ray medyaların akıcı şekilde oynatılmasını sağlıyor.
Sadece eski oyunlar bu grafik kartları ile akıcı bir şekilde (eğer yüksek bir sistem gereksinimi duymuyorlarsa) oynanabilir. Bu kategorideki paylaşımlı grafik çekirdekleri az ısınma ve daha uzun batarya ömrü gibi avantajlara sahip. Ofis, internet, şekil düzenleme ve video editleme gibi işlemler herhangi bir kısıtlama olmadan bu grafik kartları ile yapılabilir.

Intel Core 2 Duo: Daha fazla tüketime ihtiyaç duymayan ve daha uzun aktarım hatlarına sahip Core Duo ve Core Solo işlemcilerin yeni nesli. Core Duo dizanynına ek olarak 4. bir decoder, güçlendirilmiş SSE unitesi ve ek Aritmetik mantık ünitesi ( ALU ) mevcut.
Core 2 Duo Laptop işlemcileri masa üstü işlemcilerle benzer. Sadece daha düşük voltaj ile çalışmakta (0.95 Volt - 1188 Volt) ve daha düşük frontside bus saat hızına sahip (1066 MHz karşı 667 MHz). Aynı hıza sahip olsalarda laptop Core 2 Duo işlemcileri masa üstü versiyonlarına oranla daha düşük frontside bus ve yavaş hard disklerinden ötürü 20 - 25% daha yavaş.
SU7300: 10 Watt gibi düşük bir güç tüketimine sahip düşük saat hızlı işlemci.
