However, that extreme portability compromises performance compared with many direct competitors. This trade-off is clearer in more demanding tasks, in which other systems with similar specs pull ahead.

The 17-inch display delivers a sizable canvas, and its performance and battery life make it perfect for everyday work. Lowering the price by $200-$300 would make this an easy recommendation. That said, you’ll be hard-pressed to find such a lightweight 17-inch notebook. If that’s important to you, then the LG Gram 17 won’t disappoint. However, if you’re looking for better performance, battery life and display quality, there are better options out there.

For most users, however, the base model Gram 17 is a solid choice for consumers who love a big display and impressive form factor.
