While netvertibles like the Acer Aspire 1825PTZ are nothing new, there’s no denying interest in the fold down tablets has picked up since the launch of the Apple iPad. Bigger, bulkier and less desirable it may be, but with a physical keyboard on board, it also has the potential to be a lot more useful. A good all round device, but it’s not light enough for comfortable tablet use, and lacks stand-out features.

In some respects, the Acer Aspire 1825 offers the best of both laptop and tablet worlds. The device can be held in both hands to watch films, and anyone who hates touchpads can browse their files and media by stroking and prodding the screen directly. As you’ve seen in the clip, the device is pretty much great for the money, however in terms of aesthetics, finishing and attention to those tiny details that matter so much… well, it remains an Acer. But, although my first impression when i got it out of the box was: "Crap, i can’t believe I’ve bought this", a couple of hours later I was convinced I made a good choice. And I still am.

On its own merits, the Acer Aspire 1825PTZ is a great little convertible tablet laptop and not bad value. However, the almost identical Packard Bell EasyNote Butterfly Touch simply offers more for the money, so unless a faster CPU is worth more to you than additional RAM and hard drive space, it's the better option.

This is a well-built notebook with reasonable performance compared with general PCs but really quite powerful for its diminutive size. The tablet-mode swivel screen is versatile and genuinely useful for portable applications that make use of Windows 7 touchscreen functions. The notebook's lack of a CD/DVD drive is understandable but annoying just the same, so make sure you buy an external USB optical drive if you don't already own one, otherwise you risk losing your installed copy of Windows 7 forever.

Çok seçici olmayan oyunlar akıcı olarak oynanabilir. Ama düşük çözünürlüğe ve dolayısıyla düşük detaylara hazır olun. Yine de bu kartlar ofis ve video görüntüleme (HD Videolar içinde uygun olduğu söylenebilir) konularında yeterli performansı veriyor.

Intel GMA 4500MHD (bazen GMA X4500 HD veya benzer isimlerle de adlandırılır), DirectX 10 uyumlu ;GM45, GE45 ve GS45 Centrine 2 platformunda (Montevina) kullanılan dahili grafik kartı. Çip dahili bir belleğe sahip olmasada dinamik olarak

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: GM45 çipsetine (Montevina) kurulmuş, onboard (paylaşımlı) grafik kartı. 2 adet daha fazla shadera sahip olması ve daha yüksek saat hızından ötürü GMA X3100 den oldukça hızlı. Yinede oyuncular için (DirectX 10 oyunları oynanamaz, oynansa bile çok düşük detaylarda) önerilebilir olduğu söylenemez. Intel Pentium Dual Core: Yonah çekirdeği olmasına rağmen, Pentium adının dönüşü oldu. Aslında çok iyi bir güç tüketimi oranıyla 2 çekirdekli bir işlemcinin uyumundan oluşmakta.

SU4100: Küçük subnotebooklarda kullanılan, giriş seviyesi işlemci. Pentium adındna ötürü işlemci Core 2 Duo işlemcilere kıyasla daha az güç tasarrufu modlarına sahip olabilir.

Intel Core 2 Duo: Daha fazla tüketime ihtiyaç duymayan ve daha uzun aktarım hatlarına sahip Core Duo ve Core Solo işlemcilerin yeni nesli. Core Duo dizanynına ek olarak 4. bir decoder, güçlendirilmiş SSE unitesi ve ek Aritmetik mantık ünitesi ( ALU ) mevcut.

Core 2 Duo Laptop işlemcileri masa üstü işlemcilerle benzer. Sadece daha düşük voltaj ile çalışmakta (0.95 Volt - 1188 Volt) ve daha düşük frontside bus saat hızına sahip (1066 MHz karşı 667 MHz). Sınıfınınfen hafif subnotebooklarından biri ve taşınması gerçekten çok kolay. Bu hafiflikte bir laptop bulmaktan gerçekten çok zor. 7 – 9 inç ekran boyutu bu sınıf için ideal.
