Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Bir kez daha Apple'ın Retina 5K cihazı çok iyi bir izlenim bırakıyor. Üretici cihazı yüksek kalite kasa ve elegant tasarım ile üretiyor. Yeni arayüzler ve şarj edilebilir bataryalar ile kullanışlılık arttırılmış. Yine de asıl ilgiyi çeken yüksek çözünürlüklü ekran. 

Sistem bileşenleri ise masaüstü ve notebook bileşenlerinin karışımından ibaret ve iyi  bir sistem performansı sunuluyor. Ancak Fusion Drive SSD kapasitesi 128 GB kapasiteden 24 GB kapasiteye indirilmiş. Grafik kartı ve işlemci performansı modern oyunlar için uygun olsa da eski bir çipin kullanımı iyi izlenimimizi biraz etkiliyor. Eğer iMac cihazını öncelikli olarak oyunlar için kullanacaksanız hem daha ucuz hem de daha hızlı sistemler tercih edebilirsiniz.

Sıcaklık ve ses üretimi için eleştirimiz yok. Eski 5K Retina iMac cihazınızı güncellemek için de pek bir sebep gözükmüyor. Cihaz iyi, ancak fiyatı yüksek.
