Apple A18

Apple A18 güçlü bir akıllı telefon işlemcisi ve A16. Apple A işlemci serisinin bu yeni üyesi Eylül 2024'te iPhone 16 ve iPhone 16 Plus2 performans çekirdeği ve 4 verimli çekirdeğin yanı sıra 35 TOPS NPU ve 5 çekirdekli A18 GPU.

Çip normalde 8 GB RAM ile eşleştirilir. Büyük ölçüdeApple M4 IPC'ye yakın v9.2A ARM mikro mimarisine dayandığı söyleniyor. 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, çeşitli uydu navigasyon sistemleri ve NFC burada desteklenmektedir.

Daha pahalı olan A18 Pro SoC, biraz daha yüksek saat hızlarında çalışan aynı 2 P-çekirdeğine ve 4 E-çekirdeğine sahiptir; grafik adaptörü öte yandan A18'in sahip olduğundan önemli ölçüde daha hızlıdır. Bir diğer önemli ayrıntı da USB 3.x desteğinin A18'de ya hiç bulunmaması ya da bir şekilde devre dışı bırakılarak sadece USB 2.0 hızlarında kullanılması, A18 Pro'da ise böyle bir sorun bulunmamasıdır.

Performans

Çok iş parçacıklı kıyaslamalar, onu Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 ve Dimensity 9300. Apple adresinden de beklendiği gibi, A serisi işlemci nefes kesici tek iş parçacıklı performans sunarak çok daha fazla güç tüketen Apple M3 çip. Bu da P-çekirdeklerin gerektiğinde neredeyse 4 GHz sınırına ulaşabileceğini gösteriyor.

Grafikler

Tüm modern grafik adaptörleri gibi 5 çekirdekli A18 GPU rT özelliklidir. En çok karşılaştırılabilir benchmark skorları sunar G715 MP11 ve G615 MP6.

Güç tüketimi

Çipin yüksek yük altındayken kısa süreliğine yaklaşık 9 W'a kadar güç tüketebildiği ve ortalama sürekli güç tüketim rakamlarının 3-4 W civarında seyrettiği görülüyor.

Oldukça modern TSMC N3E üretim süreci, 2024'ün sonlarından itibaren A serisi çipi çok güç tasarruflu hale getiriyor.
